She was on the Dean's List at Adelphi and also at SUNY Farmingdale where she earned an Associate in Science degree in Business Administration and was admitted into Phi Theta Kappa, the international honor society.
Ms. Goscinski's background in real estate began with her work at Carll Burr's Merrill Lynch Realty (now Prudential Long Island Realty) where, as a real estate broker, she sold, listed, managed, and appraised residential real estate in Huntington, NY from 1980 to 1983. In 1983, Ms. Goscinski moved on to Realty World, Ralph Bove, Inc., in Huntington Station where for two years she sold and listed residential properties in western Long Island; appraised private homes; arranged financing and processed mortgages and bridge loans through Citibank Mortgage Power (a program now used primarily with overseas customers); assisted at contracts and closings; and lectured on financing and appraising.
In 1985 Ms. Goscinski opened her own appraisal business, evaluating real estate properties in Nassau and Suffolk Counties on Long Island as well as in New York City.
New York State Certified Real Estate Appraiser, she has qualified as an expert witness in the Eastern District Bankruptcy Court. An Accredited Senior Appraiser in the American Society of Appraisers, Ms. Goscinski takes pride in her ASA designation.
